SUMMARY:Voronoi - Delaunay Duality by Jackson Bibbens '22\, Mathematics Colloquium\, 1 - 1:50 pm\, NSB 113
DESCRIPTION:Voronoi – Delaunay Duality by Jackson Bibbens ’22\, Mathematics Colloquium\, Wednesday\, September 22\, 1 – 1:50 pm\, North Science Building 113 \nAbstract: Voronoi diagrams subdivide the plane into regions which are closest to a set of sites. Meanwhile\, Delaunay triangulations seek to avoid skinny triangles when triangulating a set of points. It turns out that these two common objects from discrete geometry are deeply linked to each other. This talk will introduce both Voronoi diagrams and Delaunay Triangulations before proving the duality between them. \n
